Description

Hi,
I've tried to flash my new and fresh pico station m2 with openwrt backfire but I don't show any wireless device inside, so after some test i realized that the problem can't exists if I reflash this device with openwrt trunk and I seen thet the only difference form my other picostation m2 is the oputput of cpuinfo when in first tipe I see:

System type : Atheros AR7240 rev 2
...
...

and in the new type

System type : Atheros AR7241 rev 1
...
...

Can this difference compromise the correct wireless device detecion?
It is possible to fix in backfire?

fixing it would require some bigger changes to the kernel code.
given that we're very close to the possibly final release of backfire, i think it's too late to backport this stuff.

What does it Mean? When do we expect support of a r7241? Ubnt switched also by bullet m2 and other products to this chipset.

I took another look and found that the diff is smaller than I thought. I've made a backport patch, if you test it properly for me, I'll commit it.

I applied the patch successfully (put patch in source root and use: patch --verbose -p1 < patchfile.patch) but it didn't work. NanoM5 still has no wireless and iw tells me this:

root@OpenWrt:/# iw phy phy0 info
command failed: No such file or directory (-2)

after applying the patch, did you clean your kernel tree again and rebuild everything?
