#9816 closed defect (fixed)

/etc/init.d/foo enable fails silently if START is not defined

Reported by: jch@… Owned by: developers
Priority: high Milestone: Barrier Breaker 14.07
Component: packages Version: Backfire 10.03.1 RC5
Keywords: Cc:

Description

If START is not defined, /etc/init.d/foo enable fails silently, which is confusing. It should either fail loudly (so you can notice that something went wrong), or pick a default value.

Setting priority to high, since this is most probably a trivial fix.
