#9805 closed defect (fixed)

pulseaudio package broken

Reported by: Malcolm Gillies <openwrt@…> Owned by: loswillios
Priority: normal Milestone: Barrier Breaker 14.07
Component: packages Version: Trunk
Keywords: Cc:

pulseaudio is failing to build because libdbus is missing, e.g.

/home/openwrt/slave/ar71xx/build/staging_dir/toolchain-mips_r2_gcc-linaro_uClibc-0.9.32/lib/gcc/mips-openwrt-linux-uclibc/4.5.4/../../../../mips-openwrt-linux-uclibc/bin/ld: warning:, needed by /home/openwrt/slave/ar71xx/build/staging_dir/target-mips_r2_uClibc-0.9.32/usr/lib/, not found (try using -rpath or -rpath-link)

The problem appears to have appeared since the update to 0.9.23

Is the fix as simple as adding libdbus to DEPENDS ?

Otherwise it seems that disabling avahi support would be an option.

That doesn't look like a pulseaudio issue. Avahi-support is not enabled in pulseaudio (though it's not disabled either).

Do you have avahi selected in menuconfig? Libdbus also? Looking at the Makefiles, avahi-client should select libavahi-dbus should select dbus/libdbus.

To clarify, I'm not building this myself, I'm just looking at

It also says

Enable Avahi: yes

by the way ;-)

should be fixed with r27778, thanks for reporting.

I think the pulseaudio package should be split up into -min and -full (with dbus, avahi).
