kerberos has different version of com_err than e2fsprogs and this causes issues

Reported by: cshore Owned by: developers

Description

e2fsprogs only uses 2.1, kerberos uses 3.0. This causes:

../lib/libext2fs.so: undefined reference to `error_message@com_err_3_MIT'

I can confirm this as I just ran into this error while building trunk.

I have this issue too.
If you select both kerberos and e2fsprogs latter doesn't link giving this error.

I didn't manage to modify the Makefile in a correct way.
As far as I understand it includes a different header file (from the 3 version) during compilation stage, and than it cant link it. But I doubt.

Replying to Max Kutsevol <max@…>:
I have the same error too ;-).
It is causing build-errors in r29508 with BOTH backfire AND trunk...
