#9475 closed defect (wontfix)

OpenL2TP builds, but no init or config

Reported by: anonymous Owned by: developers
Priority: normal Milestone: Barrier Breaker 14.07
Component: packages Version: Trunk
Keywords: Cc:

I am trying to test and see if OpenL2TP will be a better fit than xl2tpd, but after building and flashing the image, there are no scripts for starting it in /etc/init.d, and no config files for it (nothing in /etc or /etc/confg)

The binary for it does get included in the image.(/usr/sbin/openl2tpd)

Building off the tip of the trunk.

You can make a script yourself. Openl2tp is better, because it uses kernel.
If developers are interested, I can post an initscript.

Well, yes I am aware I can create my own, ;-) however this is the first daemon package I've built that didn't include an init script. I was thinking perhaps there might be an init script (and config files) that wasn't getting included in the flash image for some reason.

Openl2tp is unmaintained. No changes will be made to it until it is submitted to github and maintained by somebody.
See for details.
