[package] madwifi: turbo mode not working in ad-hoc mode

Reported by: filipebteixeira@… Owned by: developers
Priority: normal Milestone: Backfire 10.03.1
Component: packages Version: Backfire 10.03.1 RC4
Keywords: madwifi ad-hoc turbo Cc:

Description

When I set the Wifi in LuCI to ad-hoc and a+turbo mode, the network adapter is configured in a mode instead of a + turbo. Although the /etc/config/wireless says 'mode' 'ast', iwconfig shows that the card is in a mode only. Using the card in AP mode does not have this problem. The only way I found to make it work in ad-hoc mode is running the commands in http://madwifi-project.org/wiki/UserDocs/TurboMode.

I am currently using openwrt rev 27015.

/etc/conf/wireless
config 'wifi-device' 'wifi0'

option 'type' 'atheros'
option 'diversity' '0'
option 'txantenna' '1'
option 'rxantenna' '1'
option 'disabled' '0'
option 'channel' '60'
option 'hwmode' '11ast'
option 'distance' '15'
option 'txpower' '17'

config 'wifi-iface'

option 'device' 'wifi0'
option 'encryption' 'none'
option 'ssid' 'adhoc'
option 'network' 'test'
option 'mode' 'adhoc'

iwconfig
