DHCP packets not received in secondary interface

Reported by: Diego Woitasen <diego@…> Owned by: developers

Description

I'm testing the Ubiquiti NanoStation M2 router. Everything works fine except for the DHCP packet reception on the secondary interface. The router acts as DHCP server. It has two ethernet interfaces labeled as "Main" (eth0) and "Secondary" (eth1). The DHCP server works in "Main" but it doesn't work in the "Secondary". It's weird. I tried bridging the two interface or with the secondary interface without bridge and it didn't work.

Are there any comment/idea before posting a bug report?

Some information of the device:

# dmesg |grep Ather
Atheros AR7240 rev 2, CPU:390.000 MHz, AHB:195.000 MHz, DDR:390.000 MHz
Atheros AR71xx SPI Controller driver version 0.2.4
eth0: Atheros AG71xx at 0xb9000000, irq 4
eth1: Atheros AG71xx at 0xba000000, irq 5

# cat /etc/openwrt_version
10.03.1-RC5

The secondary interface works for evething else that I've tested (Multicast, ping, ssh, as dhcp client, etc).

I also found a bug report (/ticket/6724.html) that this problem was fixed in another router.

Replying to nbd:

fixed in current versions

Stopped working in RC6. In some reasons from ISP cannot get ip from its dhcp. TX packets sends, but RX allways shows 0 and nothing happens (No internet).
