Problem with Applying patch

Description

Im new in openwrt and i can not applying 404-ath_regd_optional.patch

https://dev.openwrt.org/browser/trunk/package/mac80211/patches/404-ath_regd_optional.patch

i try on backfire and trunk and i always get errors.

i creat drivers/net/wireless/ath path and i put regd.c in this path

anyone can help me?

I'm not sure what you're even trying to do. You certainly don't need to apply the patch manually, the build system will take care of that.

I just want Overriding regulatory domain from eeprom so i can use more then 11 channel because when i change country code from /etc/config/wireless and reboot router i get it's still on US and i can not use channel 112,13,14

The patch is always included, you don't have to manually mess with it. Just select the appropriate option in make menuconfig.

I dont know what the appropriate option in menuconfig i will select and when i try to build image and type make menuconfig i get some warnings and i could not select anything, i use ubuntu and i installed Everything required in build link

I create new regulatory.bin and i replace it with existing in the router.

Is the only thing remaining is the apply patch ?

This is no support channel, stop reopening this ticket, especially if there is nothing wrong actually.

You find the option in Kernel Modules -> Wireless Drivers -> kmod-ath -> [ ] Respect the users regulatory setting
