#9285 closed defect (no_response)

p54usb broken in trunk - no device configured (compat_wireless 2011-04-19)

Reported by: Ted Hess <thess@…> Owned by: developers
Priority: high Milestone: Barrier Breaker 14.07
Component: packages Version: Trunk
Keywords: mac80211 Cc:

Using older version of compat_wireless (2011-03-24) almost works but cannot set encryption key so no joy there. Not sure if this is already fixed in main-line dev of compat_wireles.

Going to try rollback to 2.6.32 kernel + compat_wireless (2011-03-24). Not sure how far I'll get.

p54usb works for me on target kirkwood in both ap and sta modes, with r27651 (kernel and compat_wireless 2011-04-19).

Thanks for looking at this. The old USB device (isl3887) previously worked with OpenWRT but now it does not. It still works on my laptop (Ubuntu 10.04) OK but curiously it no longer works with even older versions of OpenWRT built (Apr 2010) on which it worked back then. Time for some new hardware methinks.

I may did deeper into this, but for now thanks again.
