#9055 closed defect (fixed)

AR7: Cannot boot jffs2 image (fix included)

Reported by: Unaimed Owned by: florian
Priority: normal Milestone: Barrier Breaker 14.07
Component: packages Version: Trunk
Keywords: Cc: un_aimed@…

Description

The openwrt-ar7-jffs2-64k.bin image fails to mount the root filesystem. The kernel only looks for type squashfs while the rootfs is jffs2.

I resolve it by appending this to target/ar7/config-2.6.37:
CONFIG_CMDLINE_BOOL=y
CONFIG_CMDLINE="rootfstype=squashfs,jffs2"

I confirm both the problem and the fix. CONFIG_CMDLINE="rootfstype=jffs2" works, too.
