Installing git-core (on debian lenny) worked for me.

Fixed with r25536.

ok, thanks it worked also for me onto ubuntu 9.10. I tried installing git (before) but apt-get installed gnuit in place of git. May be that git-core became a new openwrt compiling prerequisite? Has it been reported somewhere?
