#8784 new defect

Encrypted filesystems in Openwrt in Backfire 10.03.1-rc4

Reported by: anonymous Owned by: developers
Priority: normal Milestone: Chaos Calmer 15.05
Component: kernel Version: Trunk
Keywords: kmod crypto sha256 Cc:

Description

To use cbc-essiv:sha256 one needs to compile a custom image.

Almost everything is there and ready to mount an encrypted disk, with the help of the package kmod-crypto-misc, including the sha256_generic kernel module. Except for the crucial cbc-essiv:sha256 which is needed to mount an encrypted disk.

Please include this snippet in the kernel, so the package kmod-crypto-misc can be used in Backfire 10.03.1.

Thank you very much!

Please add cbc-essiv:sha256 also in addition to XTS cipher suite, because the former is the default on ubuntu and debian encrypted drive installations. thanks!
