Replying to arokh <trondah@…>:
Same issue here. Sysupgrade still does the work though, jffs2 data are preserved.
Still there at Trunk r25854.
I used sysupgrade with ar71xx/WNDR3700 and that warning materialized during the flash, but config data was still preserved ok.
And there was also the warning as referenced in #3717: "mount: mounting mini_fo:/jffs on /mnt failed: Function not implemented"

Its a cosmetic issue without any underlying problem.

i see it is a wontfix but as you changed the milestone to BB i want to confirm this also in BB after sysupgrade. system works normaly configuration files were preserved.

Same here with a few TP-Link MR3020, but upgrade and config preservation works.

This is still a problem as of r42397. I disagree that this is cosmetic and should be ignored. The warning *seems* very serious to the administrator. I think the warning needs to be more clear or simply fixed in mtd.

openwrt 15.05 still shows this error ('r47815').
IF this is not an error, please correct the output. I get the impression that flashing was not
reliable. Its it absolutely ensured that flashing was successfull? I got sometimes the problem that sysupgrade flashes the image but after rebooting the old image is still present.
Same issue here. Sysupgrade still does the work though, jffs2 data are preserved.
