Description

The actual trunk, brcm47xx on an Asus WL500GPv1

produce endless high load: (top)

  616 root      20   0  1128  312  244 R 31.7  1.0   0:23.13 adjtimex
  437 root      20   0  1128  312  244 R 31.7  1.0   0:26.67 adjtimex
 1109 root      20   0  1128  312  244 R 31.2  1.0   0:08.56 adjtimex

The trunk is compiled with uclibc 0.9.32, gcc-4.3.3

Killing this tasks results in new starting of ntpclient:

 1293 root      20   0  1148  316  252 R 30.5  1.1   0:04.98 ntpclient
 1297 root      20   0  1148  328  264 R 29.1  1.1   0:00.71 ntpclient
 1295 root      20   0  1148  328  264 R 27.7  1.1   0:02.48 ntpclient

Are you running a non standard uclibc(like, did you enable the advanced stuff and set the uclibc to the latest version)? I had this same symptom on ar71xx when I did that. Dropping back to the original uclibc fixed it.
