Trying to compile r24487 for ixp4xx under Ubuntu 10.10, I get this:

  LZMA    arch/arm/boot/compressed/piggy.lzma
lzma: invalid option -- 'p'
lzma: Try `lzma --help' for more information.
make[7]: *** [arch/arm/boot/compressed/piggy.lzma] Error 1
make[6]: *** [arch/arm/boot/compressed/vmlinux] Error 2
make[5]: *** [zImage] Error 2
make[5]: Leaving directory `/src/openwrt/trunk/build_dir/linux-ixp4xx_generic/linux-'
$ lzma --version
LZMA command line tool 4.32.0beta3

I was getting the same error - trunk/staging_dir/host/bin/lzma simply didn't have a "-p" option. However, this was related to /changeset/24499.html - lzma --version shows it was still the xz version.
