Atheros ath9k driver hangs for some minutes in trunk build after huge p2p load.

Reported by: Gorby Owned by: developers
Priority: normal Milestone: Backfire 10.03.1
Component: packages Version: Trunk
Keywords: wifi, atheros, ath9k Cc:

Description

I have Buffalo WZR-HP-G300NH. After a huge load under p2p 6MB up/down traffic ath9k in two or so minutes driver fails. This happens only after upgrade from the build of 26 september (dunno the build number). I'm using the same config. Thanks.

It even happens without any load. Wifi just hangs without any announcement and logging. After some minutes i can connect to router, sometimes only after restarting the lappys wifi card (intel 5350).

same for me: Asus WL500-gP with ath9k miniPCI

after some time (2 days) the connection stalls. Or under heavy load, say youtube video, the connection stalls. Sometime it helps to reconnect.

Confirm the glitch in build 23892. Kernel warnings appear only after heavy load (p2p, lan transfers). Wifi freezes up to some times a day. Seems that there are no dependencies between warnings and hangs (at least at user's level). Strange, but there are no freezes after warnings. What logs would you want to see? I'm a *nix noob, and can't provide you with enough info at once, sorry. Thanks for the good work!
