#8155 new defect

96348GW-11 board USB host wrong IRQ, error -145

Reported by: anonymous Owned by: developers
Priority: normal Milestone: Barrier Breaker 14.07
Component: kernel Version: Trunk
Keywords: ehci usb error irq Cc:

Description

About two months ago, I had the USB subsystem working on 96348GW-11 board in Asus AM200g. Now it's not working. I know AM200g is not officialy supported, but this might be general 96348GW problem...

I have the usb-related stuff all blacklisted, so I can load id manualy -
insmod nls_base and usbcore
mount -t usbfs none /proc/bus/usb
insmod scsi_mod insmod usb-storage insmod ehci-hcd insmod ohci-hcd
lsusb:

Bus 004 Device 001: ID 1d6b:0001 Linux Foundation 1.1 root hub
Bus 003 Device 001: ID 1d6b:0001 Linux Foundation 1.1 root hub
Bus 002 Device 001: ID 1d6b:0001 Linux Foundation 1.1 root hub
Bus 001 Device 001: ID 1d6b:0002 Linux Foundation 2.0 root hub

This seems ok, but if I plug in the stick, nothing happens (no dmesg change, no lsusb visibility of the plugged stick and yes, I do have block-hotplug installed and not blacklisted)

With the USB stick plugged in first, the only thing changed is dmesg output.

If your board has EHCI support, this must be using an external chip, because BCM6348 only has internal support for OHCI. Please double check your board definition file.
