IPv6 Neighbour solicitation not travelling over wireless link

Description

There seems to be a similar problem in backfire as mentioned in ticket #4058.
I am able to ping6 my OpenWrt router from my host, but the other way round doesn't work if the host is not already known as a neighbor.
This means that pinging the host DOES work shortly after having pinged the router from the host, but as soon as the neighbor cache is empty again I get no response.

With tcpdump I can see that a neighbor advertisment message is being sent by the router but it never arrives on the host's interface.
If I try the same on a wired link everything works fine (including autoconfiguration of the host interface).

BTW I deactivated my firewall so that this could not disturb the connection.

Platform: Linksys WRT54GS v1.0
OS: brcm-47xx
