#8058 closed defect (fixed)

kernel panic - jffs not part of kernel, internet-box au1500

Reported by: anonymous Owned by: acoul
Priority: normal Milestone: Backfire 10.03.1
Component: kernel Version: Trunk
Keywords: Cc:

just compiled openwrt trunk and flashed. I'm getting:

No filesystem could mount root, tried: squashfs
Kernel panic - not syncing: VFS: Unable to mount root fs on unknown-block(31,0)

Solution: use squashfs filesystem instead of jffs.

Kernel should also try jffs as default?

should be fixed in r23391. Kernel option CONFIG_CMDLINE_OVERRIDE=y should not be needed. can you check this so we can close this ticket?
