#771 closed defect (fixed)

procps and psmisc packages build problems

Reported by: aorlinsk Owned by: developers
Priority: normal Milestone: 0.9/rc6
Component: packages Version:
Keywords: Cc:

Description

On my system these packages fail to compile due to a missing space in the Makefile of these 2 packages : "then\" has to be replaced by "then \"

Another problem occurs if you simply unselect pstree in the psmisc package. Then the library ncurses is not built and the ./configure fails.

Making these packages only work if you build them as a module, if you try to put them directly into your base image the preinit script fails and make the whole toolchain end immediately.

Moreover it looks like there are circular dependencies in procps Config.in for top and slabtop. Removing depends on library ncurses is fine.
