Backfire kernel oops and wireless crash

Using the latest revision of backfire, after bringing up a single or multiple wireless interface i get a kernel oops and the system hangs after issuing 'iwconfig'.
Hardware is Mikrotik Routerboard 112 (two mini-pci slots, one ethernet, no cf) The issue happens both with ath5k and madwifi drivers.
