Hi all, I'm not seeing the ip_gre.ko module at all in OpenWrt 10.03.1-rc3 on an AR71xx device (a TP-LINK TL-WR1043ND router).

# uname -a
Linux name.host.com 2.6.32.16 #1 Wed Aug 25 15:20:15 PDT 2010 mips GNU/Linux

# ls /lib/modules/2.6.32.16/*gre*
ls: /lib/modules/2.6.32.16/*gre*: No such file or directory

I'm looking for this module in order to set up GRE tunnels with OpenWrt. It's inclusion would be much appreciated!

Thanks,
Tim Miller Dyck

Most likely an ABI mismatch. RC5 contains kmod-gre now. Please try and file a separate ticket if the issue persists.

Thanks for the update, jow!

I can install the gre module fine on RC5. Here are instructions for anyone else:

Download and install the module; load the module:

opkg install kmod-gre
insmod ip_gre

Confirm that it is loaded:

lsmod | grep gre
ip_gre 11312 0
