#7352 closed defect (fixed)

[ar71xx] sha1_generic module cannot be inserted

Reported by: mrkfoerster@… Owned by: developers
Priority: high Milestone:
Component: kernel Version: Trunk
Keywords: sha1_generic sha1 routerboard 433ah insmod module Cc:

Description

When I try to insert the sha1_generic module I get the following output:

root@OpenWrt:~# insmod sha1_generic
insmod: can't insert 'sha1_generic': unknown symbol in module, or unknown parameter

This affects the backfire branch and trunk (tested with rev. 21498).
The device i'm using is Mikrotik Routerboard 433AH.

OpenWRT was built using the profile for devices with NAND memory with default options.
target/linux/ar71xx/files/drivers/mtd/nand/rb4xx_nand.c was modified in order to fit the kernel.

Just rebuilt backfire r21701 with the module as built-in. Seems to work now.
