#7279 closed defect (wontfix)

crontabs do not work

Reported by: Maddes <maddes_trac@…> Owned by: thepeople
Priority: normal Milestone: Backfire 10.03.1
Component: other Version: Backfire 10.03
Keywords: x-wrt crontabs Cc:

# uci set crontabs.wan_restart=crontab
uci: Entry not found

This is caused due to the missing file /etc/config/crontabs

Either an empty config file should be already available, or it should be generated with /etc/init.d/crontabs enable.

Current workaround:

touch /etc/config/crontabs

Last night I recognized too that this belongs to X-Wrt.

The file is generated when the "Crontabs" page under "System" on the web interface.

This method is valid, but interferes with my setup shell scripts for my router (due to being able to test different versions and releases quickly).
