Description (last modified by florian)

I've been having this problem using the 10.03 BRCM47XX image on my WRTSL54GS.

The install works, WAN runs correctly right after install.

B43 driver seems to be installed and recognizes the Wifi hardware.

But when I enable the Wifi either through the LuCi interface, or through editing the /etc/config/network to change 'disabled' from 1 to 0 and use "/etc/init.d/network restart" the WAN loses all connectivity to the internet, and the wireless interface doesn't seem to come up.

If I disable the Wifi interface and restart the network service WAN works fine again.

"/etc/init.d/network restart" reports:

# ./network restart[[BR]]
udhcpc (v1.15.3) started[[BR]]
/etc/init.d# Sending discover...[[BR]]
Sending select for 69.142.17.181...[[BR]]

udhcpc: setting dns servers: 68.87.64.146 68.87.75.194[[BR]]

After wireless is enabled, but eth1 never gets the IP and can't connect to the internet.

dmesg reports:

Just after running the "/etc/init.d/network restart"

Again, no WAN and no wireless interface appear to be active.

Also, if I leave wireless enabled and reboot the router, it goes into an endless state of the power light blinking with DMZ light on, and I have to TFTP flash to restore it to working order.

This is fixed for a long time by in-OpenWrt 805-b43-gpio-mask-module-option.patch patch.
