Description

Hello Dear,
I've just installed RC5 on a Motorola WR850GPv2. It is great - there are much more packages then in the original motorola firmware. But I believe that you are interesting in what I don't like. There are just a few minor issues:

  1. RESET button at the backplane does not reset the CPU - Only the switch is resetted.
  2. Power LED lights in red at all the time. In the original firmware it is red during boot phase and after that becomes green.
  3. It is not possible to flash a new firmware from the HTTP interface.
  4. There are some strange for me messages on the serial console:

...
[: 0x1f: bad number
...
insmod: init_module: switch-robo: No such device
Using /lib/modules/2.4.30/switch-adm.o

[switch-robo.c:90] SIOCGETCPHYRD failed!

Probing device eth2: No such device
Probing device eth3: No such device

Why do you probe up to eth3 when all WR850 use Broadcom 471x.

I hope that some of my comments can be useful.
Thank you for the good job.
Best Regards,
Iavor Pavlov
