sorry if I'm writing here to contact florian or anyone of you that is able doing something about ADSL developement for openwrt modem-routers.

hi florian (or others),
I have some Pirelli ADSL VOIP modem routers (BCM6358), and I would like to use them. I'm very interested in having the dsl working.

I used compiling openwrt firmware starting from v113xx sources version, and I know that you are engaged in developement of dsl for BCM63xx hardware.

I searched for dsl broadcom sources around and I think to have found what you need. I sent it to a guy that said to be interested about them but after one month I guess that he isn't so motivated about dsl developement. I would like to send the sources to someone interested that even know what try to do with them and know who is the best or the most interested in doing that. I think you help me addressing those sources to the right people.

May be I'm wrong about sources or that you still have them but they are unusable or you need more time. I would like to send them to who is happy to have them.

what do you think about? Hope not to botter you asking this, I tried other ways without responces. I only would like to have adsl finally working. I'll be happy to help anyone testing their work because I don't know anything about programming and I could test every beta version...if you need

hope to heard about you soon

The sources you think you have found are not legal, therefore they cannot be used, end of the discussion.

Replying to florian:

!!! Before writing to you I read the sources and I found they are freely distribuitable
I know that teorically Broadcom (until now) didn't distribute them. I remember to have read about this: that broadcom stopped to permit to share sources starting from a time and ahead but it was not valid for previous shares or something similar. May be I'm wrong, because the files I'm speaking about are into a broadcom directory, anyway into those sources they can read that those sources are freely distribuitable under ??? licence. This is why I asked about that. It seemed to me that it couldn't be possible that no others found what I found, but I repeat that reading "c" and "h" files they report they are free. I'll take a look again and sorry if I'm wrong or if you don't like my messages. I did it with right pourposes and I didn't want to botter you or offend you, please don't worry about that.

florian, just reopened the ticket to tell you that the guys at sipsolutions, the same guys who did the reverse engineering effort for the b43 driver, made a site with the specs to use the bcm63xx adsl and atm processors, allowing for a clean room implementation of the driver.
