#6042 closed defect (obsolete)

ifupwan doesn't work with ADSL modems when kernel changed from 2.6.28 to 2.6.30 (WL500gp v1)

Reported by: ttsherpa Owned by: developers
Priority: normal Milestone: Barrier Breaker 14.07
Component: packages Version: Trunk
Keywords: kernel problem Cc:

I'm using an ASUS Wl500gpv1 with a Speedtouch 330 ADSL USB modem and kamikaze broadcom 2.6. Everything worked almost fine in trunk about 17200 but I'm trying to change to current trunk because of the new b43 wireless drivers.
The USB modem is recognized and synchronizes and I can use the br2684ctl command to create the nas0 device, but after that i get errors trying to activate the wan interface.

Further info: It was the introduction of kernel 2.6.30 in svn version 17699 that caused this. With kernel it did not happen

Thanks in advance,
