Wireless laggy - strange reauthentications messages (brcm47xx / b43)

Reported by: umiki (at) med.unideb.hu Owned by: developers
Priority: normal Milestone: Barrier Breaker 14.07
Component: base system Version: Trunk
Keywords: b43, laggy Cc:

Description

Dear developers,
I am happy that wpa(2)-psk works again, but now it seems that the wireless connection became laggy.
In the log I see:

May 1 16:48:54 OpenWrt daemon.info hostapd: wlan0: STA 00:13:02:43:b1:61 IEEE 802.11: associated (aid 1)
May 1 16:48:54 OpenWrt daemon.info hostapd: wlan0: STA 00:13:02:43:b1:61 RADIUS: starting accounting session 49FB2589-0000002E
May 1 16:48:54 OpenWrt daemon.info hostapd: wlan0: STA 00:13:02:43:b1:61 WPA: pairwise key handshake completed (RSN)
May 1 16:49:05 OpenWrt daemon.info hostapd: wlan0: STA 00:13:02:43:b1:61 IEEE 802.11: authenticated
May 1 16:49:05 OpenWrt daemon.info hostapd: wlan0: STA 00:13:02:43:b1:61 IEEE 802.11: associated (aid 1)
May 1 16:49:05 OpenWrt daemon.info hostapd: wlan0: STA 00:13:02:43:b1:61 RADIUS: starting accounting session 49FB2589-0000002F
May 1 16:49:05 OpenWrt daemon.info hostapd: wlan0: STA 00:13:02:43:b1:61 WPA: pairwise key handshake completed (RSN)

So it reauthenticates every 10 seconds (maybe it was like that, just it wasn't logged?). Strange part is that these messages show up even if the connection is unencrypted (and unencrypted connections lag as well).

After a bit more testing (and reboots) it seems, that if the connection is non-encrypted the messages stop after:

May 1 17:08:24 OpenWrt daemon.info hostapd: wlan0: STA 00:13:02:43:b1:61 RADIUS: starting accounting session 49FAE9F6-0000000A
May 1 17:29:02 OpenWrt daemon.info dnsmasq[1845]: reading /tmp/resolv.conf.auto
May 1 17:29:02 OpenWrt daemon.info dnsmasq[1845]: using nameserver 213.46.246.54#53
May 1 17:29:02 OpenWrt daemon.info dnsmasq[1845]: using nameserver 213.46.246.53#53
May 1 17:29:02 OpenWrt daemon.info dnsmasq[1845]: using local addresses only for domain lan

The non-encrypted connection seems to be ok afterwards.

It seems, that this problem (lag in every 10s) is only observable, when the wireless settings are changed. It is gone when the router is rebooted, and wpa works fine as well.

Sorry for the unnecessary annoyance.

The same problem. I am using trunk and just compiled r15771 with stable b43 firmware. I am not able to use psk2 WiFi, because reauth occures every 10s. Unfortunately rebooting router not helps. How can I fix it? Why hostapd tries to start radius accounting session? Maybe it is a problem.
