Description

Hi,

I have lost contact with two Linksys WRT54G (v2.0 & v2.2). The only thing I did after installing OpenWRT was changing the LAN IP and WAN IP. I changed the LAN IP from 192.168.1.1 to 192.168.1.2, and I changed the WAN IP from Automatic til Manual (WAN 192.168.1.30 SUBNET 255.255.255.0 GATEWAY 192.168.1.1). Beside changing the password, those were the only changes I made.

It all seemed to work fine until turning off and on the power. No contact what-so-ever. Neither SSH(22), telnet(23) nor WEB(80). I thought at first it was my bad on the WRT54G v2.0, so I set my WRT54G v2.2 with the same specs. First all seems good, but after unplugging/replugging the power - BRICKED!

Not 100% bricked. I can push the reset button whilst powering up and wait for the DMZ led to start flashing. Then I can telnet 192.168.1.1. But besides that I get none respons from the box after a restart.

Can anyone help me?

  • Resolution set to invalid
  • Status changed from new to closed

Never assign the same subnets to two different interfaces, this will use confuse routing.
