libgcrypt-compile fails to link with libgpg-error

Reported by: dos@… Owned by: developers
Priority: normal Milestone:
Component: packages Version:
Keywords: libgcrypt libgpg-error Cc:

Description

The tests/ subdirectory in libgcrypt, which is included in "make all", isn't cross-compilation friendly in terms of looking for libgpg-error, even when ./configure is called with the appropriate staging directory prefix. This results in an error similar to:

mkdir .libs
mipsel-linux-uclibc-gcc -Os -pipe -mips32 -mtune=mips32 -funit-at-a-time -I/kamikaze/staging_dir_mipsel/usr/include -I/kamikaze/staging_dir_mipsel/include -Wall -Wpointer-arith -o .libs/version version.o -L/kamikaze/staging_dir_mipsel/usr/lib -L/kamikaze/staging_dir_mipsel/lib ../src/.libs/libgcrypt.so
/kamikaze/staging_dir_mipsel/bin/../lib/gcc/mipsel-linux-uclibc/3.4.6/../../../../mipsel-linux-uclibc/bin/ld: warning: libgpg-error.so.0, needed by ../src/.libs/libgcrypt.so, not found (try using -rpath or -rpath-link)

../src/.libs/libgcrypt.so: undefined reference to `gpg_strerror'
../src/.libs/libgcrypt.so: undefined reference to `gpg_strsource'
collect2: ld returned 1 exit status

This has been fixed before in r1249's libgcrypt/patches/500-cross-compile.patch

The same patch fixes the problem in r11104 (which applies to libgcrypt-1.4.1).
