#3464 closed defect (fixed)

util-linux-ng/mount-utils fails to build

Reported by: KanjiMonster Owned by: developers
Priority: normal Milestone: Barrier Breaker 14.07
Component: packages Version:
Keywords: Cc:

Looks like a small typo:

install -d -m0755 /home/xxx/openwrt/trunk/build_dir/mipsel/util-linux-ng-
install -m0755 /home/xxx/openwrt/trunk/build_dir/mipsel/util-linux-ng-{u,}mount /home/jonas/openwrt/trunk/build_dir/mipsel/util-linux-ng-
install: target `/home/xxx/openwrt/trunk/build_dir/mipsel/util-linux-ng-' is not a directory
make[2]: *** [/home/xxx/openwrt/trunk/bin/packages/mipsel/mount-utils_2.13.0.1-1_mipsel.ipk] Error 1
make[2]: Leaving directory `/home/xxx/openwrt/trunk/package/util-linux-ng'

Presumably in the Makefile:

define Package/mount-utils/install
        $(INSTALL_DIR) $(1)/sbin/
        $(INSTALL_BIN) $(PKG_BUILD_DIR)/mount/{u,}mount $(1)/bin

should be

define Package/mount-utils/install
        $(INSTALL_DIR) $(1)/sbin
        $(INSTALL_BIN) $(PKG_BUILD_DIR)/mount/{u,}mount $(1)/sbin/

(Especially looking at the other entries).

Yes, I had the same problem and I resolved it exactly as you. There is just a typo.

why don't you just use the busybox mount applet instead of this package?

comment:4 Changed 10 years ago by anonymous

Probable he uses the full version because BB is to much stripped down and sometimes like IPKG has lots of problems (memleak).
