#3287 closed defect (fixed)

Mounting disc in S20 is too early

Description

SVN version, base-files, /etc/init.d/fstab - mounting disc in S20 is too early. USB/usb-storage need some time to detect partitions, so mount it in S20, after loading modules in S10 is not good idea. Add sleep 5 or use /sbin/usb-storage to mount resources from /etc/config/fstab file.

Same here. I tried to move it to s30, s40 but it needs at least 3-5 secs to mount...

Same issue here -- usb disks can take a while be ready for mount...

  • Resolution set to fixed
  • Status changed from new to closed

Should be fixed in 8.09.2rc2 and recent trunk, usb-storage now picks up mount points from fstab so usb disks get mounted even if the fstab init runs too early.
