dhcp bridged connections

Reported by: nlinux <mekelly5@…> Owned by: developers
Priority: high Milestone: Kamikaze 8.09
Component: packages Version:
Keywords: Cc:

Description

I have eth0 eth1 and ath1 bridged on the current kamikaze trunk, on a ipx4xx board
my /etc/config/network:

config interface loopback
      option ifname lo
      option proto static
      option ipaddr 127.0.0.1
      option netmask 255.0.0.0

config interface lan
        option ifname 'eth0 eth1'
        option proto 'static'
        option ipaddr '192.168.2.21'
        option netmask '255.255.255.0'
        option dns '192.168.1.1'
        option gateway '192.168.1.1'
        option type 'bridge'

My wireless clients can connect and get a dhcp address, but if I plug a device into eth0 or eth1, syslog reports this error and I don't get any address issued

no address range available for DHCP request via br-lan

I have verified this action on several builds and several ixp4xx boards

Can you confirm that you have something like the following in your /etc/config/dhcp

config 'dhcp'
        option 'interface' 'lan'
        option 'start' '100'
        option 'limit' '150'
        option 'leasetime' '720m'
        option 'ignore' '0'
