Description

I try to use my asus wrt500gp as wirelessclient (mode=Sta). according to the wiki i need the package xsupplicant for wpa2 encryption, as wpa_supplicant does not support broadcom wireless... when i try to use xsupplicant i see the missing library:

root@OpenWrt:~# xsupplicant
xsupplicant: can't load library 'libiw.so.29'

libiw can be found here: http://www.hpl.hp.com/personal/Jean_Tourrilhes/Linux/Tools.html#latest

xsupplicant depends on wireless-tools which provides libiw.

I'm using Kamikaze 7.09 brcm-2.4 and xsupplicant complains about libiw as reported by michu-at-neophobdotcom: can't load library 'libiw.so.29'

ipkg files wireless-tools says:

Package wireless-tools (29-1) is installed on root and has the following files:
/usr/sbin/iwlist
/usr/sbin/iwconfig
/usr/sbin/iwspy
/usr/sbin/iwpriv
/usr/sbin/iwgetid

Done.

There's no libiw* file(s) anywhere on my system.

Are you sure it is fixed ? I have found few wireless-tools_29-2_mipsel.ipk packages on web (it's not in official 7.09 yet) and no one of them contains the library.
