broadcom-diag: Add support for MS MN-700 platform with its dualcolor power LED

Reported by: michael.heimpold@… Owned by: developers
Priority: normal Milestone:
Component: base system Version: Kamikaze trunk
Keywords: Cc:

Description

The Microsoft MN-700 router (very similar to the ASUS WL-500g) is not detected correctly by the broadcom-diag. Also it is not possible to switch off the power LED after it was enabled. With the included patch (hopefully coded carefully enough) these two issues are solved.

Only half of the patch has been commited.

A minimal version of the required patch to make MN-700 really work is mn700_minimal.patch. This does NOT include the dual LED patch, the blink frequency patch and the build target.

In order to make the reset button work for failsafe, patch http://git.kernel.org/?p=linux/kernel/git/davem/net-next-2.6.git;a=commit;h=83e34f03ee9b86b49bde4707a1fe03a1837e29be is additionally needed.

Thanks, Jochen
