#234 closed defect (fixed)

pppd is not compiled with PPP_FILTER

Reported by: neurolabs@… Owned by: florian
Priority: normal Milestone: 1.0-rc5
Component: packages Version: 1.0

I tried to set up dial on demand. fixed the small typo in ifup.pppoe, so pppd was started with the right options (demand idle xxx).
pppd has an internal idle counter. It gets resetted whenever a packet passes the connection, either inbound or outbound.
I always have inbound traffic, old p2p conections, the usual hacking (netbios and so on), so i never go offline.
pppd has an option "active-filter" to deal with these things, but that is not compiled in to the whiterussian binary. with it you could just tell pppd to disregard incoming traffic.
kernel needs an option activated for this to work, too.

Fixed in r3149 for whiterussian, r3148 for kamikaze, I will take care of CONFIG_PPP_FILTER in the kernel
