This is a WhiteRussian-style package and that branch is frozen now. We already have a new-style package for it (source:/packages/libs/xyssl) that you should be able to compile for WhiteRussian using its SDK.

We cannot strip the cipher functions as they could be required by some applications. See http://forum.x-wrt.org/index.php/topic,433.msg2306.html#msg2306.

MD2 can (should) be disabed imho. Can someone provide a diff (including patches) against the actual source:packages/libs/xyssl ?

Thanks!

We are not excluding functions from OpenSSL, MatrixSSL. Why should we exclude it right from this library? It is the common cryptographic library not the final security product. It depends on the application what function it uses.

Actually, we're excluding numerous ciphers from OpenSSL and MD2 is one of them.

Ok, I will make changes to exclude MD2.
Please revert [9003], or use only one file from the patch/the diff against the tree. Sorry for troubles.

Replying to Luboš Staněk <lubek@lubek.name>:

Ok, I will make changes to exclude MD2.

MD2 was disabled in [9014]

Please revert [9003], or use only one file from the patch/the diff against the tree.

What's wrong with the actual patches?
