Eth1 not installed after reboot

Description

Hello

I've compiled DESIGNATED DRIVER (Bleeding Edge, r49114) on x86 platform and I'm experiencing problems with USB LAN adapter. After reboot it's not showing as eth1 device with 'ifconfig -a'. The only way to bring it up is to physically disconnect it and reconnect to usb port. Only then it gets registered and dmesg shows:

[ 788.727292] r8152 1-1:1.0 eth1: v1.08.2

I've already tried to sort it out with:

  • mii-tools - no avail as package is deprecated in Designated Driver
  • usbreset - command resets port ok but eth1 is still unavailable
  • /etc/init.d/network restart - no joy
  • rmmod and insmod r8152 - no joy

Is there some other way to bring interface up without reconnecting it to PC?
