#218 closed defect (fixed)

Typo in /sbin/ifup.pppoe prevents dial on demand from working

Reported by: h@… Owned by: developers
Priority: normal Milestone: 1.0-rc5
Component: packages Version: 1.0
Keywords: pppoe, dial on demand Cc:

I've just installed OpenWRT White Russian RC4 on my WRT54GS V1.1 and I have noticed that dial on demand does not work although the variables ppp_demand and ppp_idletime are set correctly. I found out that the reason for this is a typo in /sbin/ifup.pppoe. The line

DEMAND=$(nvram get ppp_idletime)

must read

IDLETIME=$(nvram get ppp_idletime).

Otherwise the shell variable $IDLETIME is never set and
$DEMAND is set to the empty string in the nest line.

was already fixed in [2939], now it doesn't use $IDLETIME at all, but handles everything using $DEMAND
