Excessive odhcp6c spam in logs

Reported by:… Owned by: developers
Priority: normal Milestone: Designated Driver (Trunk)
Component: packages Version: Trunk
Keywords: odhcp6c IPV6 status 0 Cc:

Odhcp6c spams my logs excessively.
My Buffalo WBMR-HP-G300H seems to work fine - connected via it's ADSL internal modem over ATM.
IPV6 is configured, so odhcp6c is started: from my process list
1244 root 916 S odhcp6c -s /lib/netifd/dhcpv6.script -P0 -t120 pppoa-wan
and IPV6 addresses are seemingly handled correctly. But my logs are full of lines like:
Wed Dec 30 19:52:28 2015 daemon.warn odhcp6c[1244]: Server returned message status 0
(more or less this happens every 3 minutes). This might result from a provider misconfiguration, I don't know.
Status is defined as a "success" code in odhcp6c. This line will trigger:
file: <odhcp6c repo>/src/dhcpv6.c: line 1313
dhcpv6_log_status_code(code, "message", status_msg, len);
I woule add an if condition to avoid this printing if code is 0. i already contacted the author sending a "conceptual patch".
