Further testing summary:

4.1.13 with 990-nand_timeout.patch -> stable
4.4rc5 with 990-nand_timeout.patch -> worse then without patch (crashes more often)

4.4rc5 (r47961) without patch is more stable but still has issues:

a) if main boot fails, power cycle may fix it
b) if main still fails, boot alt which fails
c) boot main again and it works

Please see attached r47961 logs

Cheers

This is confirmed with Kernel 4.1.13 and sorry for the late addition. This is a build from trunk without patching.

Same issue here.
Do you have found a solution to correct this ?

Thank

Not tested on 4.4rc5.
Just 4.1.16
