WhiteRussian Webif r2761 static route configuration broken

Description

Firmware OpenWrt White Russian - With X-Wrt Extensions 0.9

Kernel Linux 2.4.30 #1 Thu Feb 22 13:58:48 EST 2007

Device Linksys WRT54G/GS/GL

Board Broadcom BCM947XX

I cannot add static routes to my configuration via the web interface.

Reproduce:
LAN IP Address of my router is 192.168.10.1
LAN IP Address of my internal router is 192.168.10.100
I want to reach subnet 192.168.9.0/24 via my router at 192.168.10.100

When I enter this into the Network/Routes textfields ..
IP Address: 192.168.9.0
Netmask: 255.255.255.0
Gateway: 192.168.10.100

and press the Add button, a line is added to my (previously empty) list of configured routes ("Routes List", above the text fields). But the Gateway is missing, it only shows the just entered Target IP Address/Netmask parameters and the GW field is empty.

When I save/apply, the route is not added (it will not appear on the kernel routing table shown on the bottom of the screen) and obviously does not work.

I can add a route manually using the following command:
ip route add 192.168.9/24 via 192.168.10.100

and then I am able to reach the 192.168.9/24 subnet. I added this to the custom init.d rc script (S95) in order to setup the route every time I reboot, but I would like to be able to do this in the web interface.
