iwconfig, iw and iwlist doesnt work but iwinfo does

I am using chaos calmer latest version on TP-Link841ndv8 mips board.
My problem is that iw or iwconfig doesnt work but iwinfo shows proper information.
My /proc/net/wireless is also empty.

the output are as follows:

And what happens when you try to use "iw" command? iwinfo uses nl80211 (in your case), so iw should work as well.

"iwconfig" and "iwlist" tools use abandoned Wext (Wireless-Extensions) API. In OpenWrt we don't enable wext at kernel level as there is no real need for it and we don't want waste flash space.

There is a replacement for Wext called nl80211. All new tools use it (e.g. "iw" and "hostapd").

You should just switch to these new tools (e.g. "iw").
