#19640 new defect

dir-615 not tagging vlans properly on physical ports

Reported by: brian@… Owned by: developers
Priority: normal Milestone:
Component: base system Version: Barrier Breaker 14.07

Description

I have a DIR-615 running 14.07. I have the switch configured as such:

VLAN 1:
	vid: 1
	ports: 0t 1t 2 3 4t
VLAN 2:
	vid: 100
	ports: 0t 1t 4t

When I plug a machine into port 2 and try to ping something that is on vlan 1 I can observe by monitoring (i.e. wireshark) what is being sent out on port 4 that the vlan 1 traffic (i.e. the ARPs to resolve the Ethernet address of what I am trying to ping via port 2) is actually being tagged to vlan "0".

To restate, I have two machines on the switch, one on port 4 and one on port 2. Port 4 machine is displaying what is being tagged/trunked. Port 2 machine tries to ping something on vlan1. Port 4 machine running wireshark clearly shows that the ARPs that should be tagged on vlan 1 are being tagged with vlan 0.
