asix ax88772b usb to rj45 adaptor don't show tx packets

Description

I used a usb to rj45 adaptor based on ax88772b chip.
It works fine on Barrier Breaker.
But i found it does not show the tx packets on trunk r45369.

Same here with a 0b95:7720 on a Ubuntu server with 3.13 Linux kernel. So probably a Linux kernel (asix driver) issue.

TX-bytes is non-zero but tx-packets stays 0:
