nslu2 extroot not working

Reported by: ryan.mjacobs@… Owned by: developers
Priority: normal Milestone:
Component: base system Version: Barrier Breaker 14.07
Keywords: extroot, nslu2, mount, ext4 Cc:

I have block-mount, kmod-fs-ext4, kmod-usb2, and kmod-usb-storage installed. I am currently running 14.07 Barrier Breaker.

Here's my /etc/config/fstab:

config mount
        option target '/'
        option device '/dev/sda1'
        option delay_root '15'
        option fstype 'ext4'
        option options 'rw,sync'
        option enabled '1'
        option enabled_fsck '0'

I ran /etc/init.d/fstab restart and rebooted. But every single time I boot, the hard disk never gets mounted.

Here's the output of df -h:

Filesystem Size Used Available Use% Mounted on
rootfs 4.3M 1.1M 3.2M 25% /
/dev/root 2.0M 2.0M 0 100% /rom
tmpfs 14.3M 1.0M 13.3M 7% /tmp
/dev/mtdblock5 4.3M 1.1M 3.2M 25% /overlay
overlayfs:/overlay 4.3M 1.1M 3.2M 25% /
tmpfs 512.0K 0 512.0K 0% /dev

and, fdisk -l:

Disk /dev/sda: 931.5 GiB, 1000170586112 bytes, 1953458176 sectors
Units: sectors of 1 * 512 = 512 bytes
Sector size (logical/physical): 512 bytes / 512 bytes
I/O size (minimum/optimal): 512 bytes / 512 bytes
Disklabel type: dos
Disk identifier: 0x4e96270b

Device Boot Start End Blocks Id System
/dev/sda1 2048 10242047 5120000 83 Linux
/dev/sda2 10242048 14338047 2048000 82 Linux swap / Solaris
/dev/sda3 14338048 1953458175 969560064 83 Linux

sda1 and sda3 both are ext4 formatted and sda2 is a swap partition.
