openconnect (openwrt-14.07) currently not working

Description

Openconnect currently seems not be not usable. When trying to connect from luci webinterface the following error can be found in syslog:

user.notice openconnect: this script must be called for an active interface

When trying to call openconnect manually (console) with

openconnect vpn.mycompany.com

there is an error, too.

WARNING: This version of openconnect was built without iconv
         support but you appear to be using the legacy character
         set "ASCII". Expect strangeness.

Openconnect is not part of openwrt base. Please report the issue to:
https://github.com/openwrt/packages
