OpenWrt support for Netgear WNR1000v2

Reported by: saltwaterc@… Owned by: developers
Priority: normal Milestone: Chaos Calmer 15.05
Component: base system Version: Trunk
Keywords: Cc:

Description

WNR1000v2 uses the same hardware as WNR612v2 and both use something close to WNR2000v3, therefore the board was already supported. Found out the magic number for WNR1000v2, then used WNR612v2 as template. It built a successful image on the first try.

I made the initial patch against Barrier Breaker, but it merged cleanly with Chaos Calmer (r43721) after changing the kernel version.

I posted more information about the flashing procedure and demo images in this Gist: https://gist.github.com/SaltwaterC/ef49c8a4df81c8896153

Please let me know if you need more information for merging this into the trunk.

I suggest adding [PATCH] to the title so it doesn't look like a feature request.

Unfortunately, I can't edit the title. I opened the issue before having a Trac account. However, I sent an updated patch to openwrt-devel and it was applied with r44221. This issue was tagged with that changeset. It also adds WNR1000v2-VC support.

Nice! Thanks for your hard work, I compiled my own barrier breaker with it about a week ago. Glad to see it upstream.
