#18247 new defect

nanostation m5 duplicate mac address

Reported by: dtaht Owned by: developers
Priority: normal Milestone: Barrier Breaker 14.07
Component: kernel Version: Trunk

Description

I only have one nanostation this has ever happened on, and
I don't know why. The two mac addresses on the ethernet
come up as the same (doesn't happen on other nanos).

Even if I override it with setting the macaddr option for a different mac in /etc/config/network, I still get a dadfailed.

Is there a way to change it in the bootloader (from openwrt)

root@toke2-p2p:~# ip -6 addr show

2: eth0: <NO-CARRIER,BROADCAST,MULTICAST,UP> mtu 1500 qlen 1000

inet6 fd91:f8c5:9202::1/64 scope global tentative

3: eth1: <BROADCAST,MULTICAST,UP,LOWER_UP> mtu 1500 qlen 1000

inet6 fe80::37:22ff:fea9:a2c0/64 scope link tentative dadfailed
